Cafe Old Fashioned (Non-Alcoholic Recipe)

Most of us drink coffee because we have to—it's vital to our professional and personal survival. But sometimes, what we really want to be doing is drinking is a tasty cocktail—but it's not 5 o'clock yet.

Enter The Café Old Fashioned.

This non-alcoholic—and supercharged—cold brew coffee cocktail is your solution to the dilemma: what to drink when you don't want to drink?

About the recipe

This is a cold brew old fashioned cocktail with no alcohol.

The base ingredient in this recipe is cold brew concentrate. Some coffee shops or recipes will use a shot of espresso on their cold cocktail drinks. I rarely use spro (bro-ey term for espresso) for cocktails because of its overpowering nature.

For sweetness, it uses Runamok bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup. This adds complex sweetness. This stuff is dangerous. It's hard to resist the temptation to eat it by the spoonful.

"For when you want to drink in the morning and not feel guilty about it."

Suggested Use

This drink has the caffeine equivalent of a double shot of espresso. Drink one early in the morning. Drink it with your bros or boss babes during a power lunch or breakfast. Hit it during long productive sprints that bleed into the night.

It was a popular evening drink at my coffeebar.
